Programs of Study

The programs of study at the University of Konstanz are divided into three faculties representing different fields:

Mathematics and Natural Sciences
Law, Economics and Politics
Humanities

In total, students can choose from almost 100 programs of study.

Courses of study can take on different forms:

Undergraduate Degree and State Examination are the initial degree programs following secondary education.
Advanced Studies builds on a first terminal degree at an advanced level.
Additional/Supplementary Studies can be completed simultaneously with one’s primary or advanced studies.
Doctoral Program earns the student the title of Doktor, and can be completed after the successful completion of a degree program.
Research Training Groups (Graduiertenkollegs) are an organized form of doctoral studies.
The European Transfer Credit System (ECTS) enables students to transfer credits earned abroad.
Studium Professionale course offerings support students while they prepare to enter the job market.
In this context, Key Qualifications are important skills a student should acquire.
